it's just around her mouth I took her halter off and it looks better her nose is white should I put anything on it to protect it from uv rays?

A foal will naturally shed as summer comes up,

and it usually starts on the face.

For white markings I suggest a waterproof sunscreen,

I think Absorbine has a good one that is for horse and rider.

Shedding foals look really awful for a while,

but they have to get rid of the baby hair and get the first summer coat.

It is normal for horses to have falling hair since it is hot already and summer is coming. I guess you should keeb the colt in a shaded area to keep his nose from rashes.

like all baby animals, they are born with baby fur. They will loose that and the adult hair will grow in. For awhile, they do look quite awful. I hope that baby wasn't born with too much "winter" fur on due to staying cold at night, but that is what blankets are for.
